About the Certified Pedorthist role:
As our new Canadian Certified Pedorthist, your goal is to help our patients achieve and maintain proper foot care and lower limb health so they can live healthy and active lives. You’ll do this by:
- Preparing assessment rooms and completing patient assessments
- Checking appointments and reviewing client files/documentation
- Conducting biomechanical assessments and casting/molding/scanning lower limbs for orthotics
- Engaging with new clients and reviewing services, products, and fees
- Discussing treatments, preparing treatment plans, and making referrals
- Producing custom orthotics, completing orthotic/shoe modifications, bracing and compression clinical fittings
- Keeping up to date with industry knowledge and reviewing cases with peers

About this opportunity with BioPed Footcare:
This is a full-time permanent position working daily out of our clinic typically from Monday-Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm with flexibility for some evenings and Saturday’s.

Qualifications:
- Valid Canadian Certified Pedorthist designation
- Ability to confidently perform biomechanical assessment of lower limb anatomy, muscle, and joint function
- Ability to determine optimal treatment plans and select appropriate foot orthoses/other pedorthic footwear
- Ability to complete clinical fitting and modification of footwear, and design, manufacture, and modify foot appliances
- Experience working in a clinical retail setting
We’ll also accept the following designations:
- Certified Pedorthist (MC) Master Craftsman
- Certified Orthopaedic Footwear Specialist (C.O.F.S)
