Our mission is to enable people to live their lives to the fullest by helping them alleviate their foot pain. To continue to help our clients do more in life, work, and play, we’re looking for a Pedorthic Technician for our local BioPed clinic.
About the Pedorthic Technician role:
As our Pedorthic Tech, you’ll be a critical pillar supporting our smooth operation, and the manufacturing of our custom orthotics in our state of the art, on-site lab. You’ll support the foot and lower limb care team in building quality medical devices that help clients alleviate their health concerns. You’ll have the opportunity to make lasting impacts on our clients everyday as you engage with patients, educate them on products and services that will support their health journey.
In a typical day, you will be:
- Manufacturing and adjusting custom foot orthotics, completing footwear fittings and modifications, performing bracing and compression therapy fittings
- Engaging with clients for educating, fitting and follow-up on products and services offered in clinic
- Keeping up to date with industry knowledge and reviewing cases with your peers

You’ll strike the balance with manufacturing, completing lab work and supporting client’s needs along with your team.

About this opportunity with BioPed Footcare:
This is a full-time permanent position working daily out of our local BioPed clinic typically from Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm with flexibility for some evenings and Saturday’s.
You’ll be paid an hourly wage and will be commensurate with experience. You’ll be eligible for our health benefits, employee purchase plan, and paid attendance at our BioPed national conference. Qualifications:
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- A strong technical aptitude and competency with machinery, in a lab environment including grinders, heat guns and other tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize work
- Desire to learn and educate clients
- Excellent communication and strong organizational skills
- High school diploma or graduate of Orthotic/Prosthetic Technician program an asset
And here’s what would be an asset:
- Experience working in a clinical retail setting with patient interaction
- Previous lab experience
- Understanding of health & safety protocols
